j'ai passé vraiment un excellent sejour, la chambre est grande, claire, propre avec un parking, une piscine et les proprietaires sont très gentils, donnent de bons conseils et surtout très génereux. on se croirait dans une location 4 étoiles. je recommande vivement cette location.

This is a room in a shared house with the Host and other guest. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance to shopping and food place. The room was all we needed for the couple of days we were staying there. The Host were most pleasant and very helpful and informative. The made us a great breakfast one of the mornings. It has a small pool that you can use to relax in. This is much better than staying at a hotel.

Positive: Für eine Nacht war das recht voll gestellte Zimmer in einer noch volleren Wohnung, die man sich mit dem Eigentümer teilt, ok. Negative: Im Zimmer war es recht staubig und es war ziemlich klein. Nach der bestätigten Buchung sollten wir nun eine Versicherung abschließen, um mögliche Dinge zu ersetzen, die kaputt gehen. Das wirkte sehr unseriös. Im Prinzip lebt man mit den Eigentümer wie in einer WG, allerdings ist jederzeit klar, wer der Chef ist;). Wir fanden, dass nichts wirklich klar geregelt ist. Mal haben wir netterweise ein kleines Frühstück erhalten und wurden dafür extra 8:00 Uhr nach unserer Ankunft um 2:00 Uhr morgens geweckt, weil der Gastgeber frühstücken wollte. Wir haben dann dankend abgelehnt. An anderen Tagen war nichts vorbereitet. Die Atmosphäre haben wir als sehr speziell und anstrengend empfunden, ein wenig wie bei einem Eierlauf. Die Gegend ist nicht zu empfehlen, es ist weder hübsch noch wirkt es abends in den umliegenden Gassen sicher.

Richard and his wife are like your parents away from home. It felt like I was their kid and they treated me like one of theirs. I enjoyed my short time with them in Tahiti.

The room was nice and clean, and the house were very nice. The grounds were beautiful and green. My only issue with the property was the rooster or many roosters that live nearby. I did have some nights where I had a hard time sleeping, but it wasn’t bad enough to take away any stars.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut ausgestattet und entsprach der Beschreibung. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war unkompliziert und freundlich. Die Lage war ebenfalls sehr praktisch. Wir würden die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen und gerne wiederkommen.

The hosts Richard and Via were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay. Richard was a wealth of information of where we should go on our visit. He served us an unexpected French breakfast the first morning and a farewell Tahitian breakfast on our last day. We truly enjoyed their hospitality in their clean city center home.

Richard and Via were tremendous hosts. Richard welcomed us the first morning with a traditional French breakfast. He gave us lots of recommendations on places to see. We were among other guests at the property, but it still seemed private. At the end of our stay we had a traditional Tahitian breakfast and a nice farewell! The place was very clean and accommodating. Very nice stay!

Our hosts: Richard and Vaea were ones of the most hospitable hosts who we’ve encountered. They made us feel at home at their beautiful place. They made delicious breakfasts, super helpful, and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them!

A house with two rooms, which he rented to 2 different guest sounded misleading in the description.I sought peace and found a strange couple on the day of arrival. They told me they were surprised by it themselves. The shelter was not safe, in the kitchen, dishes piled up and the fridge was full of old food. The worst was four cocks, which shrieked at night within a radius of three to six meters, and so the whole night's rest was disturbed. No place of rest for me personally. What's good is that you're quick at the port and you're quick in the city, but after two city visits you've seen it

Très belle rencontre

J’ai passé un excellent séjour à l’Hiiaka chambre. La chambre est très agréable et la literie très confortable. Le jardin et la piscine sont très agréables. La propriétaire a été adorable et très accueillante. Tout a été parfait. Le seul « hic » est la localisation de la location qui n’est pas dans le meilleur quartier de Papeete. En tout cas, je remercie Vaea qui a été une hôte exceptionnelle.

Negative: Le partage avec les hótes qui vous plonge au coeur de la culture Polynesienne. L'extraordinaire petit dejeuner offert la veille de ton départ fruits frais a disposition poissin cru beignet locaux... La piscine fraiche et profonde dans un jardín exotique.

J’ai passé un agréable séjour chez Richard et sa femme. Je vous recommande le lieu à 200% , point stratégique, vous êtes proche de la gare maritime et du centre de Papeete. Vous allez pouvoir échanger avec Richard sur les histoires et les légendes de la Polynésie. Il vous donnera également de bons conseils pour la suite de votre séjour . Je n’ai rien à redire, tout était parfait ! C’est un endroit très lumineux, agencé et décoré avec beaucoup de goût, et l’on s’y sent très bien. La piscine est un plus, et l’on est près de tout. Quant à nos hôtes, leur gentillesse est sans égale ! Merci pour cette magnifique semaine, qui m’a permis de goûter tout de suite au meilleur de la Polynésie.

Merci à leur accueil et d’avoir été aux petits soins. Ce sera désormais mon adresse quand j’irai sur Tahiti. 4 jours merveilleux!

Super séjour, grâce à Richard et Vaea , des hôtes incroyables, au petit soin. Je n’ai jamais étais aussi bien accueillis de toute ma vie. Pour notre première expérience de chambre d’hôte, c’était vraiment génial. On était à l’aise. Richard nous a beaucoup aidé , donner plein d’infos. Ils nous ont offert un petit déjeuner délicieux, miam. Avec des produits locaux pour nous faire apprécier la nourriture tahitienne. Un régal. Je reviendrai avec plaisir. Et sans hésitation. Tres bon séjour et agréable

Richard et sa femme sont très accueillants, nous avons beaucoup échangé sur les coutumes et l’histoire de la Polynésie, ils ont largement contribué à nous faire passer de très bonnes vacances immersives.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel ! L’accueil était chaleureux et nos échanges autour de la culture polynésienne ont vraiment enrichi notre voyage. Merci pour tous les bons conseils sur les lieux à visiter — chaque endroit recommandé valait le détour. Nous avons aussi profité pleinement de la piscine, un vrai petit coin de paradis pour se détendre après nos journées d’exploration. Richard et Vaea sont des hôtes extrêmement accueillants et chaleureux. Ils ont été à l'écoute et ont même devancé mes attentes avec une introduction à l'art de vivre à la tahitienne en organisant un petit déjeuner typiquequement tahitien.

Richard und seine Frau waren liebevolle Gastgeber. Ich fühlte mich gleich in die Familie aufgenommen. Sein Haus und sein Garten sind wahrlich ein Refugium. Ich fühlte mich gleich wie zu Hause bzw. wie im Paradies.

Un accueil des plus chaleureux, partage de leur quotidien et donc de la culture locale (marché, conseils, produits et traditions). nous avons pris le temps de discuter de longues heures, j'avais l'impression d'être un membre à part entière de la famille. Richard var en meget omsorgsfuld og imødekommende vært! Værtsparret får en til at føle sig meget hjemme og er særdeles behjælpelige med hvad end, de kan bidrage med, hvad enten det er hjælp, viden eller at ringe til de lokale guides. Dejlig oplevelse at bo her :D

I can highly recommend Richard's Homestay to everyone visiting Papeete! It is a little Oasis right in the center of Papeete. You can do your sightseeing by foot and also the ferry port is just around the corner. Once you enter the garden and the house you don't see or hear the buzz of the town. The garden and the pool are breathtaking. The house, the room and the bathroom are very clean and really beautiful as well. I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. Richard is very helpfull and gave me tips even before I arrived. He helped me a lot with organizing some appointments and to get orientated in town. Vaea, his wife, is really nice and caring. You will receive coffee and tee in the morning, and if Richard or Vaea are around you might also share breakfast with them.

Quel hôte incroyable ! Arrivé en avion en pleine nuit Richard a tenu à m’attendre néanmoins pour m’accueillir. Le lendemain, il s’est proposé de m’amener voir un spectacle de danses traditionnelles… on ne peut pas trouver plus accueillant ! Par ailleurs le logement est bien situé près du ferry pour aller à Moorea, ainsi que des bars/boîtes et roulottes. Au calme en plein centre! Ne pas hésiter, entre l’accueil de Richard qui aime partager sa culture et le lieu en tant que tel… je recommande!

J’ai passé une semaine merveilleuse dans ce logement. Sûrement ma meilleure expérience Airbnb. Un accueil chaleureux, Richard et Vaia étaient très gentille, accueillant et ont tout fait pour que je me sente bien chez eux. J’ai un profond respect envers eux. Le petit déjeuner était fabuleux (rien à envier aux grands hôtels). La maison est magnifique, grande, avec une piscine très agréable. Le jardin est aménagé avec goût, et beaucoup de plantes le rendent reposant. J’ai eu l’impression d’être considéré comme un membre de la famille. Je recommande à 200% ce logement ! I loved my stay with Richard and his wife Vaiae’s. They have a beautiful and welcoming home with Tahitian arts in the centre of Papeete, 5 min. walk to a ferry terminal. Their hospitality was overwhelming. I hope to stay with them next time I visit Tahiti.
